WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University men's golf team is set to get its 2025-26 campaign underway under the tutelage of third-year head coach
Chris Merce. West Chester will kick off its campaign in Gettysburg for the second year in a row as the Golden Rams host the WCU Battlefield Classic.
West Chester once again returns a strong and talented core, led by
Ryan D'Ariano (West Chester, Pa./Rustin) and
Evan Jozwiak (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson), who were both regulars in the Golden Ram lineup a year ago. Jozwiak is the top returning finisher from the 2024 PSAC Championships for West Chester, finishing 33
rd last October with a three-day score of 239 (77-79-83). West Chester also returns
Victor Mominey (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) and
Alex Marchetti (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough), who both competed throughout the 2024-25 season a year ago.
In addition to the quartet of returners, West Chester welcomes newcomers
Patrick Carl (Mount Airy, Md./South Carroll), Will Hilton (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland), Nathan Radwanski (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin), and Paul-Arthur Roth (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox) as freshman along with transfer
Yamato Kimura (Kuwana Mie, Japan/Monteverde Academy), who began his career at Lander before joining the Golden Rams.
Monday's opening round, which will play to a yardage of 6,833 yards on the Par-72 Links at Gettysburg, will be the start of a seven-tournament fall slate for Merce and the Golden Rams.
West Chester is one of six teams set to compete in Gettysburg this week as the Golden Rams will be joined by Bloomsburg, Jefferson, Shepherd, Chestnut Hill, and Hood.

Following Tuesday's final round, West Chester will head to Bristol, Tennessee, for the King University Invitational on September 22 and 23 before playing in the Sunnehanna Collegiate in Johnstown on September 29 and 30. West Chester will begin October at the one-day Alvernia Fall Invitational on October 7 before visiting Michigan on October 11 and 12 to compete in the Davenport Panther Invitational at Stoatin Brae Golf Club in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This Tournament will serve as a final tune-up before the PSAC Championships return to Iron Valley on October 17, with the final round scheduled for Sunday, the 19
th. West Chester will conclude its fall slate on October 27 and 28 with the Metropolitan Intercollegiate at Montclair Golf Club in West Orange, New Jersey.
