LOCK HAVEN, Pa.- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced its golf Athlete of the Week award winners on Wednesday afternoon.
Cara Murphy (Massillon, Ohio/Jackson) earned her first Women's Golf Athlete of the Week award after winning her second Tournament in a row to begin her rookie season on Tuesday.
Murphy won her second Tournament in as many weeks on Tuesday, firing a second-round 76 to finish the Millersville Fall Classic at +9 (77, 76; 153) and climb from third to first as she won her second Tournament in as many starts. Murphy started her collegiate career with a victory in Gettysburg last week at the WCU Battlefield Classic and repeated the feat this week at Berkleigh Golf Club in Kutztown.
West Chester will be back in action next week in Bristol, Tennessee for the King University Invitational beginning on Monday.
