Camryn Snow (Exton, Pa./West Chester East) scored the Golden Rams' lone try. However, visiting American International College topped West Chester, 66-8, on a sun-splashed and hot Friday afternoon on the rugby pitch.
West Chester (0-2, 0-2 NIRA) opened its 2025 campaign against the top two programs in the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) Tier II. AIC (2-1, 1-0) opened its conference slate with an impressive win on the road.
AIC scored the match's first two trys with one of them converted to take a 12-0 lead in the first four minutes of the game. Snow pulled the Golden Rams close with her try three minutes later. However, AIC rattled off 54 unanswered points the rest of the way to take the conference win.
Kiyanah Edwards led the Yellow Jackets with three trys. Camryn Henderson had a try and six conversions for a game-high 17 points. Seven other AIC players each recorded one try.
West Chester hosts New Haven next Saturday at 1 p.m.
