  3. Shepherd is 14-2 on the year and 3-1 in league play after a 3-0 road win over Lackawanna on October 3, following a Friday night loss to East Stroudsburg for its first loss since a September 11 setback at home against IUP. The 3-0 loss to IUP was Shepherd's first and only home loss of the season as the Rams are 8-1 entering play on Tuesday. Ada McCoy leads the team in kills with 158, followed by Amya Davis with 136. McCoy also leads the team in aces with 22. Maggie Smith is first on the team in assists with 483, and Alexa Smith is first in digs with 193. Sophia Ryan leads the team in blocks with 44.
  4. Tuesday's road trip is the lone road match in the middle of a stretch, which has the Golden Rams playing four-of-five at home. The Golden Rams return home on October 10 to host Lackawanna, then host East Stroudsburg on October 16 before another single-match road trip as the Golden Rams face Kutztown at Brandywine Heights High School in Mertztown on October 17 at 4 p.m.
  5. West Chester halted a 16-match losing streak against Shepherd last November with a 3-1 win inside the Butcher Center for the team's first win over Shepherd since 2011 and its first win in West Virginia since 2010. With this victory, West Chester is 5-16 against Shepherd in the all-time series.
