LOCK HAVEN, PA – Senior midfielder
Sydney Wasdick (Pottsgrove, Pa./Pottsgrove) was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Offensive Player of the Week Wednesday afternoon. It is the second weekly honor Wasdick has received highlighting her efforts against Adelphi last weekend.
Wasdick scored five goals and registered eight points and scooped up 11 draw controls to lead West Chester to a 16-15 win over No.13 Adelphi on the road Saturday afternoon. She also added a ground ball and a caused turnover to her stat sheet. Her draw control after
Kendall Fortune's free position goal tied the game late in the fourth led directly to another free position attempt for Fortune which turned out to be the game-winner.
Wasdick, who was also named player of the week by
US Lacrosse Magazine, leads the 11th-ranked Golden Rams into action Wednesday on the road at Millersville at 4 p.m.
