- West Chester returns to action at 4-4 on the season after splitting four matches in North Carolina over the weekend. West Chester started and finished the weekend with hard-fought five-set losses to Belmont Abbey and Elizabeth City State, its second and third five-set setbacks of the season, with wins over Chowan (3-1) and Glenville State (3-0) in between those matches.
- CeCe Isenberg (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) leads the team in kills with 81 and is second in blocks with 13, trailing only Julia Kwitchoff (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Niagara Wheatfield) and her 28. Gwen Atkins (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) is second on the team in kills with 74, thanks in part to the play of the setter duo of Ada Koksal (Istanbul, Turkey/Terraki) and Bria Stepp (Cranberry Twp, Pa./Seneca Valley) are first and second on the team in assists with 117 and 114. Brooke Forester (Langhorne, Pa./Conwell-Egan) leads the team in aces with 20, while Hailey Atkins (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) leads in digs with 102.
- Goldey-Beacom enters play on Wednesday at 5-2 on the year after a speedy 3-0 win over Lincoln on Saturday, which gave the Lightning their third win in four matches, including a 3-1 win over Shaw and a 3-0 triumph over Chestnut Hill. GBC is 1-1 against PSAC East competition this year as the Lightning started the campaign with a 3-1 home victory over Millersville in August before falling to Kutztown on the road to start September.
- Baylee Brin and Gabi Fullwood are first and second on the team in kills with 56 and 51, while Julianna Malena is first in assists with 112 as the Lightning work to manage the departure of Koksal, who was a consistent presence throughout the last two seasons for the Lightning. Brianna Anderson leads the team in digs with 81, while Kelci Gingras leads in aces with 16. Fullwood also leads the team in blocks with 21.
- West Chester is 20-0 against Goldey-Beacom since 2007, including six 3-0 victories in the last seven meetings. West Chester swept Goldey-Beacom by a 3-0 final in Delaware last year during a tri-match with the Lightning and St. Thomas Aquinas (STAC).
