CHESTNUT HILL, Pa. – Three different players scored as No. 5 West Chester University women’s soccer team recorded the team’s 11th consecutive shutout en route to a 3-0 victory over Chestnut Hill on the road Tuesday afternoon.
West Chester (15-1-1) pushed its winning streak to nine straight and its unbeaten streak to 15 with the victory. The Golden Rams have given up a goal in 1,064 consecutive minutes. Chestnut Hill falls to 11-7-1 on the season after the loss.
Rams freshman goalkeeper Lyndsie Bernardini ran her consecutive shutout streak to 1,044 minutes in picking up her 15th victory on the year. That ties the first-year player for second place on the school’s single-season wins list. She made one save in the win.
Sarah Oswald tallied in the first half when her corner kick deflected into the goal off a defender in front. Jessica Bennett and Sam Paolino added second half tallies to give the Golden Rams a comfortable cushion the rest of the way.
Brittni Bernardini notched her first career point with an assist off of Paolino’s goal.
