Women’s Swimming Sixth After Day Two At Terrapin Cup Invite

Day Two Results

COLLEGE PARK, Md.
– West Chester University’s women’s swim team posted six Top 8 finishes in seven different events and currently sits in sixth place after the second day of competition at the Terrapin Cup Invitational hosted by University of Maryland.

Host Maryland leads the field with 784.5 points while Villanova is second with 523 and Connecticut is third with 424. Towson is fourth with 302.5 while Richmond is fifth with 234 points.

Amelia Buckley placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1 minute, 4.01 seconds. Erin Fischer was fifth in the 100 butterfly (56.01). 

Both relays placed seventh. The 200 medley relay, consisting of Megan Winslow, Buckley, Leah Varvaro and Megan Bauer, clocked a time of 1:46.59 while the 800 freestyle relay put up a time of 7:39.49 with the help of Bauer, Mia Barone, Fischer and Kristen Montello.

Bauer finished eighth in the 200 free with a time of 1:55.21.

Day three of the Terrapin Cup Invitational gets underway with prelims at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Finals begin at 6 p.m.
