MEET RESULTS
WEST CHESTER, PA – Chase Knorr (Birdsboro, Pa./Twin Valley) set a meet record in the 3,000m steeplechase and won the 1,500m while West Chester's men's track & field squad won three other events in its spring opener inside John A. Farrell Stadium Saturday.
Knorr posted a time of 9 minutes, 47.58 seconds that stands as a new meet record and was good for first place. His time of 4:22.84 in the 1,500m narrowly edged his twin brother, Garrett, for first. His brother put up a time of 4:27.62.
Sticking with the distance events,
Nick Bower won the 5,000m in 16:14.80 while
Jarrett Zelinsky (Newtown, Pa./Holy Ghost Prep) won the 800m in 2:03.11.
Chad Mowbray (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) won the 400m in 50.32. Teammate Matthew Fry (Reading, Pa./Wilson) was right behind him in 50.72.
