SHIPPENSBURG, PA – West Chester's men's track & field squad finished up its weekend trip to the Paul Kaiser Classic hosted by Shippensburg University Saturday.
Anthony Futrick (Sinking Springs, Pa./Wilson) was runner-up in the javelin throw with a mark of 176 feet, 10 inches.
Andrew Puz (Exton, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) tied for fifth in the pole vault, clearing 13-11 ¼. Meanwhile,
Zahir Madyun (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) jumped 42-3 ¼ in the triple jump to place eighth.
On the track,
Jack Wasserman (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) clocked a time of 23.46 seconds to place eighth overall in the 200m.
Matt Fry (Reading, Pa./Wilson) finished third in the 400m with a time of 50.65 seconds.
West Chester will host a Last Chance Meet next Saturday, before the team prepares for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 6-8 in Shippensburg.
