Men's Track & Field Impresses at Golden Rams Invitational

MEET RESULTS

WEST CHESTER, PA - The West Chester Golden Rams hosted the Golden Rams Invitational on Saturday with competitors Jefferson University, Penn State University-Harrisburg, PSU-Brandywine, Marywood University, and Neumann University in attendance at John A. Farrell Stadium.
 
The Golden Rams' men's track & field squad placed first in five events Saturday. Junior Chase Knorr (Birdsboro, Pa./Twin Valley) took first in the 800-meter run with a time 2 minutes, 00.5 seconds. Knorr also took second in the 1500m race for a 4:08.04 time. Sophomore Chad Mowbray (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) received a time of 50.56 seconds in the 400m dash, placing first as well.
 
West Chester won the 4x400 relay in 3:38.12.
 
In the field events, junior Zahir Madyun (West Chester, Pa./West Chester Henderson) had a leap of 41 feet, 8 ½ inches in the triple jump.
 
West Chester is back at John A. Farrell Stadium next Saturday afternoon for the Bill Butler Invitational scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
