West Chester ran its unbeaten streak to eight, its winning streak to three, and its shutout streak to 326 minutes with a dominant 4-0 win over Shippensburg on Saturday. West Chester sunk the visiting Raiders quickly on Saturday afternoon with two goals in the first 11 minutes as
Faith Matter (Middletown, Pa./Middletown) and
Lindsey Balmer (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) both found the back of the net to start West Chester off with an early 2-0 lead. Matter added her second goal of the day and fifth of the year in the 26
th minute before Balmer picked up her second of the day and fifth of the year early in the second half to help West Chester coast to the victory. The Golden Rams used 31 different players in Saturday's win, meaning the team will be rested with its starting lineup only playing part of the game in each of the last two victories. West Chester ended the game with a 27-8 lead in shots, a 14-1 lead in shots on goal, and a 5-0 lead in corners.

With her two goals on Saturday afternoon, Matter moved into first on the team scoring chart with 15 points, thanks to her five goals and five assists on the season. With these five goals and 15 points, Matter, who was already the Golden Rams career assist leader, passed
Alyson Cutter (32) for fifth on the career goals chart and now has 34 goals, just two shy of Christina Almquist's 36, which she scored from 1997-00.
Kianna Barber (Browns Mills, N.J./BCIT) remains the team leader in goals scored with six goals and two assists for 14 points, while Balmer is third in scoring with five goals and one assist for 11 points.
Grace Keen (Lincoln University, Pa./Avon Grove) has been excellent in goal, playing to a record of 8-3-1 with a 0.38 goals-against average and a hand in nine shutouts. Keen leads the PSAC in goals-against average, save percentage (.913), and shutouts with six.
Sam Hollish (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) has seen a bit of time in relief of Keen in recent weeks, playing in three games, including the Lock Haven, Mansfield, and Shippensburg shutout victories.

West Chester improved to 32-16-5 all-time against Kutztown earlier this season with a 1-0 victory on Rockwell Field on the strength of a goal by Barber. This was West Chester's first win over the Golden Bears since 2023 as the team went 0-2-1 a year ago, marking the first time since 2012 that the Golden Rams did not record a win over Kutztown at some point during the season.

Kutztown (8-3-1, 6-3-1) enters play following a scoreless draw at Millersville last Wednesday night, which halted a three-game winning streak for the Golden Bears, which included 1-0 wins over Bloomsburg and Shepherd and a 2-0 win over Lock Haven. Last Wednesday night, Kutztown ended the game with a 10-5 lead in shots, a 4-1 lead in shots on goal, and a 12-8 lead in corners but Sabrina Zimmerman made four saves to keep the Golden Bears off the scoreboard.
Corinne Morgan leads Kutztown in scoring with seven goals and four assists for 18 points on the year, while Caroline McDonald has four goals and three assists for 11 points on the season. Maura day ranks among the league leaders in assists with seven and is third on the team in scoring with her seven assists and no goals.
In goal, Morgan O'Donnell is 8-3-1 with a 0.61 goals-against average and 41 saves. O'Donnell has had a hand in six shutouts with five solo shutouts this season and ranks third in the league in goals against average and third in save percentage (.854).
