BETHLEHEM, Pa.- Josh Miller (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) finished eighth in 24 minutes and 39.9 seconds to lead the West Chester University men's cross country squad at the 51
st Annual Paul Short Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Miller's eighth-place finish in the Brown Division 8K helped West Chester finish 15th out of 38 programs in the team standings with a team score of 456, the third-highest finish of any Division II program, trailing only East Stroudsburg (385-11
th) and Kutztown (413-13
th).
Eli Radio (El Paso, Tx/Chapin) and Ellis Eppard (Gaithersburg, Md./Wooton) ran for West Chester in the open 8K to start the day, finishing in 27:18.2 and 27:48.9, respectively.
Matthew Remishofski (Wall, N.J./Wall) took 37
th in 25:22.8 while
Jason Vogt (Southampton, Pa./William Tennent) was the third and final Golden Ram in the top-100 in 26:03.0.
Nick Forman (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) was next across the line in 26:19.9, followed by
Matt Landis (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) in 26:59.5, along with
Jorge Rinker (Orefield, Pa./Parkland) and
Aaron Marcus (Easton, Pa./Easton) in 27:05.1 and 27:06.4, respectively.
Louie Edgecumbe (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) was next across the line in 28:02.9, followed by
Gavin Sheetz (Lebanon, Pa./Lebanon) in 28:40.3 to round out the Golden Ram contingent.
