NCAA Tournament Bound! Women's Soccer Returns to NCAA Tournament as Two Seed

Golden Rams to Host Four Team Pod on Rockwell Field This Weekend

WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University women's soccer team (13-2-4) got the news it was waiting for on Monday evening as the Golden Rams learned their 2025 season would continue in the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Tournament as a two-seed. West Chester will host West Virginia State in the first round on Friday, while Kutztown will host Fairmont State in West Chester for the right to face the winner of West Chester/West Virginia State in the pod final on Sunday.

The other half of the Regional Field sees PSAC Tournament Champion Shepherd earn the top-seed, while Gannon and Bloomsburg will face each other in a first-round matchup at Shepherd for the right to face the Rams on Sunday. The top remaining seed from the weekend will host the Atlantic Regional Championship game on November 30 at their home field.

Following a one-year hiatus from the Tournament last season, which halted a 20-year NCAA Tournament appearance streak, West Chester is back in the Tournament in 2025 and will host at least the opening weekend on Rockwell after winning its first outright PSAC East Regular Season crown since 2022.

West Chester saw its PSAC Tournament run come to a close in the Semifinals on Friday as eventual champion Shepherd defeated the Golden Rams 3-0 before dispatching Kutztown 4-1 in the PSAC Championship game on a windy Sunday afternoon.

West Chester earned hosting rights once again in 2025 and will host the opening weekend of the Tournament for the first time since 2022, when the team advanced to the National Championship game for the first time in program history before falling to Western Washington by a 2-1 final in early December.

The opening round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament on Rockwell will begin on Friday at 10 a.m., with second round play coming on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Ticket prices are set at $13 for adults and $8 for students (k-12) and seniors (65+). Ticket sales will be cashless but are on-site only.
