Last Time Out
West Chester enters play following a 2-0 victory over Shepherd on Saturday, which kept the Golden Rams' playoff hopes alive heading into the final week of the regular season.
Michael Regan (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) opened the scoring with the first goal of his career in the seventh minute, which gave the visiting Golden Rams an early 1-0.
Joseph Maxwell (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) doubled the lead in the 49
th minute off an assist from
Luke Newman (Mission Viejo, Cal./Santa Margarita Catholic) to give the Golden Rams an important 2-0 lead.
West Chester ended the win with a 10-4 lead in shots and a 2-1 lead in shots on goal despite the host Rams finishing the match with a 5-3 lead in corners.
Alexi Amanatidis (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./The Shipley School) made the lone save by either keeper in the victory as he earned his third win and second shutout of the season.
Flock Talk
Amanatidis has been a key part of West Chester's late-season surge as he is 3-1-2 with a 0.67 goals-against average and two shutouts in his last three matches, including a clean sheet over Bloomsburg back on October 25. Amanatidis has made 25 saves and posted an .846 save percentage in his 540 minutes of action, earning the start in each of the last five matches.
Offensively,
Maksym Komperda (Whitehall, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) and
Owen Slack (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) are tied for the team lead in points with 11 each as Komperda has a team-best five goals and one assist, while Slack has three goals and five assists. Slack is tied with Newman for the team lead in assists, as Newman added his fifth assist of the year on Saturday and is third on the team in points with two goals for nine points.
Important Days
Monday's game is West Chester's non-league finale and a tune-up before an important clash with Shippensburg on Thursday, the final day of the regular season. Millersville captured the PSAC East Regular Season crown on Saturday with its victory over Bloomsburg, but this also reopened the door for West Chester to earn one of the remaining two spots in the PSAC Tournament field. Entering the final league game of the regular season on Thursday, West Chester is third in the league, one point up on Bloomsburg and two points back of East Stroudsburg, both of whom the Golden Rams split the season series against. On Thursday, West Chester will need a win to control its own destiny or a Bloomsburg loss in order to secure a spot in the PSAC Tournament. If the Golden Rams win and East Stroudsburg loses, West Chester would earn the second seed and host the Warriors on Rockwell Field on November 10 in the PSAC Quarterfinals.
Let's Try This Again
West Chester and Holy Family will play a make-up game on Monday after the first meeting between the two non-league foes in September was postponed due to logistical issues for the Tigers.
That's Our Captain
Slack, who is a Senior captain and one of two captains for West Chester this season (junior defender
Ian Alicea is the other Golden Ram to wear the captain's arm band in 2025), has three goals and five assists for a team-best 11 points on the year. Slack scoring is a good sign for West Chester, as the team is 5-0-2 when he scores at least one point so far this season. This includes the vital win over Bloomsburg on 10/25 and a draw at Millersville on 10/29.
Series History
West Chester is 14-4 vs Holy Family since 1991 and has won each of the last 12 meetings between the two non-league foes. West Chester has outscored the Tigers 44-8 over the course of these eight matchups dating back to a 1-0 setback in 2002.
Scouting Holy Family

At home against Caldwell on Saturday afternoon, Holy Family jumped out to a 4-0 halftime lead thanks in part to a hat trick in 13 minutes by Ned Lewis before Corey Yorke tacked on a goal of his own in the 33
rd minute to stretch the lead to four. Caldwell scored the first two goals of the second half thanks to Darius Holes before Holy Family added two late when Lucca Saad and Jackson Kiss found the back of the net in the 84
