WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) released its women's soccer All-Region teams on Tuesday afternoon, and West Chester was well represented with five student-athletes earning All-Region honors, including First Team honoree
Grace Keen (Lincoln University, Pa./Avon Grove).
Keen headlined the five Golden Rams honored as West Chester matched Gannon for the most players honored on the All-Region squad.
Kianna Barber (Browns Mills, N.J./BCIT), Faith Matter (Middletown, Pa./Middletown), Victoria Pungello (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial), and Katie Dougherty (Glenmoore, Pa./Downingtown West) earned Second Team honors.
Keen, a First Team All-PSAC East selection, ended the regular season with a record of 12-1-4 and a PSAC-best nine shutouts, a 0.39 goals-against average, and a .900 save percentage with 54 stops. In the postseason, Keen is 3-1-0, including a shutout win over Fairmont State in the Atlantic Region Semifinals on Sunday afternoon that sent West Chester back to the Atlantic Region Championship game for the third time in four seasons.
Barber was another First Team All-PSAC East selection and was the PSAC East Player of the Year after an outstanding regular season, which saw her score eight goals and add three assists for 19 points. Three of her eight goals were game-winners, and the sophomore also turned in a simply sensational stretch of soccer earlier this fall, scoring in four straight games and six of seven from early September into early October. The sophomore has continued her tremendous 2025 campaign in the postseason, scoring a goal and adding an assist in a PSAC Quarterfinal victory over Clarion before turning in a seven-point day with a hat trick in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday. Against West Virginia State, Barber became the first Golden Ram in team history and the first player in Division II women's soccer since 2023 to record an NCAA Tournament hat trick as she helped lead the Golden Rams to a 5-2 win over the Yellow Jackets.
Another First Team All-PSAC East selection and the WCU career-assist leader, Matter returns to the All-Region squad for the fourth time in her career in 2025. Matter finished the regular season with six goals and five assists for 17 points, which helped her move into fourth in team history in points and into the top spot on the assist chart with 36. In the postseason, Matter scored her 36
th career goal to move into a tie for fourth all-time in goals while adding five assists in the NCAA Tournament, including three in the First Round against West Virginia State.
Dougherty was another First Team All-PSAC East selection and the PSAC East Rookie of the Year, as the rookie defender has had an outstanding season on the Golden Ram backline. Dougherty scored a crucial goal against Lock Haven on Senior Day to help West Chester capture a share of the Eastern Division title and added an important assist in a win over Bloomsburg in late October. Dougherty has been an important part of a daunting unit, which helped quiet the potent Fairmont State offense in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday and helped limit opponents to just 0.41 goals per game in the regular season.
The final All-Region honoree, Pungello, was yet another First-Team All-PSAC East selection that earned Second-Team All-Region plaudits after an outstanding season. The senior captain scored three goals and added six assists for 12 points in the regular season as she entered the PSAC Tournament 10
th in the league in assists. In the NCAA Tournament last weekend, Pungello scored three goals, including two in the historic 5-2 win over West Virginia State, while also adding an assist in that victory.
West Chester will be back in action on Sunday afternoon at Shepherd in the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Atlantic Region Championship match beginning at 1 p.m. The winner of Sunday's Championship Match will advance to the National Quarterfinals on December 6 at home against the winner of the East Region Championship between Franklin Pierce and Jefferson.
