Women’s Swimming Still Leading the Field After Day 3

DAY 3 RESULTS

YORK, PA – West Chester swimmers won two individual events and placed third on the only relay of the evening as the Golden Rams continue to work their way towards another team title at the 2026 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Swimming Championships inside the York YMCA Friday evening.
 
West Chester leads the field with 981 points over second-place IUP who has 827.5. Clarion and Bloomsburg have quite a battle going for third and fourth with the Golden Eagles holding a slim 741-740.5 advantage.
 
The Golden Rams' 200-yard medley relay started off the night with a third-place showing in a time of 1:45.21. That foursome consisted of Machalina Jasinska (Warsaw, Poland), sisters Bella and Sam Kil (Enola, PA East Pennsboro) and Lava Piuva (Malmo, Sweden).
 
Greta Saville (Mordialloc, Australia) won her second conference title of the meet in the 500 freestyle. She set the pace in the field with a 4 minute, 58.33 second time. Ditta Kowalik (State College, Pa./State College Area) placed fifth in the 'A' Final with a time of 5:10.35 while Katherine Grant (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine) won the 'B' Final and finished ninth overall with a time of 5:08.32. Margaret Getty (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) was 14th, and Sam Heiland (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) and Amy Masciulli (Harleysville, Pa./ Souderton) were 20th and 22nd, respectively.
 
Jasinska placed third in the 100 backstroke with a time of 56.50. Anna Evans (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) placed seventh in 58.22 while Allie DeFrehn (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) was 19th.
 
Senior Bella Kil earned her first PSAC individual crown when she won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:04.28. Teammate Lenya Ryan (Wilmington, Del./Mt. Pleasant) was third in 1:04.69 while Molly Hubal (Archbald, Pa./Valley View) was fourth in 1:04.82.
 
Amy Masciulli placed fifth in the 200 butterfly to earn the highest placement for a Golden Ram in the event. She touched the wall in 2:08.18. Sam Kil was 12th while Katie Grant was 13th and Alexis Nonnemacher (Reading, Pa./Exeter) was 27th.
 
The final day of competition at the 2026 PSAC Championships gets under way with prelims at 10 a.m. in the 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke and finally the 1650 free before the finals in the evening at 5 p.m. in those events plus the 400 free relay.
