Considered one of the finest gymnasts to ever grace West Chester University, Jeannine Reinert Readdy was a three-time All-American and Philadelphia area gymnast of the year during her intercollegiate career. The former star excelled in the floor exercise and vault, earning two All-America certificates on the floor and one more on the vault. She was selected as the WCU female athlete of the year in 1982 and was named the PAIAW gymnast of the year in 1981. Reinert Readdy played an integral role on West Chester University's only two undefeated women's gymnastics teams in 1981 and 1982, helping the Golden Rams to a 25-game winning streak in dual competitions over that stretch.

In 1980, she placed second in the all-around at the EAIAW regional gymnastics championships. The Reading, Pa., native then guided West Chester to a third-place showing at the AIAW national gymnastics championships following her showing at regionals. A four-year letterwinner for the Golden Rams, Reinert Readdy was nationally ranked in the floor and vault events during each of her final three years of competition.
