Kesting backstopped the Golden Rams to a 5-2 mark her senior season.

Upon graduation, Kesting toured internationally with the U.S. national team from 1968 to 1971. She implemented the first varsity girls' interscholastic athletic programs at Scotch-Plains Fanwood High School where she coached the field hockey team from 1968 to 1975. She also launched the first girls soccer and girls tennis programs at that high school. Following that stint, Kesting coached collegiately at Kean University from 1975 to 1978. She was inducted into the Woodbury High School Hall of Fame in 1974.
