An AIAW All-America honoree in 1982 on the uneven bars, she was the top all-around performer for West Chester University’s women’s gymnastics team her four years at the school from 1982-1985. One of the finest gymnasts to come out of the university, she competed for the Purple & Gold during the women’s gymnastics’ squad’s hey day in the early to mid 1980s. She led West Chester to a sixth-place finish at AIAW nationals her freshman year when she earned her All-America plaudits. The following winter, she led the Golden Rams to an NCAA regional championship and a fourth place finish at the Division II national meet.
 
A two-year team captain her junior and senior seasons (1984, 1985), she has spent more than 30 years of service to the nursing profession in direct patient care at a trauma hospital. Since obtaining her BSN, she has been a registered nurse practicing orthopedics at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where she is also a preceptor for orienting new staff members. She is also a part of the team at Abington-Lansdale Hospital Jefferson Health in Orthopedics Spine Institute.
